Checking out the candidates for Hidalgo County Commissioner PCT 1 - Not a tuff choice -
I'm voting for Tina Casares! Holding a Masters of Education from UT-Pan Am - and one heck of a successful business owner - my vote is for her!
Since we the Tax payer will be paying the County Commissioner's paycheck - and boy do we know it is high - why is our tax payers money going to someone who does not have a college degree - yet this person (we all know who this is) DEMANDED a 20% pay increase...????? I believe if we place candidates in office we should at least check out thier education - Would you Vote for a President who only held a business school certificate???? or for that matter a two year degree??? I think not - and I will tell you why. Education is important and people who hold office should at least have their BA - If Politicians expect to be paid executive level incomes than by gosh they better have the credentials to warrant their paycheck.

TIME FOR A CHANGE
It’s very unfortunate that a dominated populated Hispanic county continues to have voters that cannot recognize true talent that wants to change the community. The only way to change a corrupted community is to bring in a highly educated person that can recognize the problems and have the tenacity and drive to make a positive change.
Commissioner Sylvia Handy has been in office for over 12 years and has yet to improve the corrupted drug abuse and violence that continues to plague the county.
Her track record has yet to be proven and yet her dedicated voters continue to be blindsided with her false advertisements.
So, Hidalgo county voters do you want a fresh change? Or, do you want to continue to have the same commissioner make promises that have yet to be met.
Do the right thing!!!!
